Who is Nicola White?
Nicola was Mudlark-in-Residence at our Foragers of the Foreshore exhibition at Bargehouse where she recreated her ‘Tideline Art’ studio in-situ, displaying her collection of messages in a bottle and creating an epic bird sculpture from foraged plastics. As well as being a mudlark, Nicola is also a self-taught artist.

Where can I mudlark on the Thames?
You can mudlark under the Millennium Bridge outside the Tate Modern on the South Bank or move over to the North Bank near St. Paul’s Cathedral. Outside Gabriel’s Wharf can be a fun place to check the shore, and the areas around Southwark and Blackfriars bridges on the North Bank are also worth checking out.
