Frampt was a friend of Lord Gwyn and is possibly working with Gwyndolin, as Gwyndolin created the illusion of Gwynevere, which suggests that the Chosen Undead listen to Frampt and Link the First Flame and succeed Gwyn.
Are Frampt and Kaathe the same?
tldr; Kaathe and Frampt have always been the same being, or at least of the same motive, working to complete a plan that would eventually outlive the Serpents, and end with us becoming the Lord of Hollows at the end of Dark Souls 3.
