Control and pump should be ok without tearing into it. I do 2-3 oil changes per season anyway, so when I changed back to Fisher, I just moved up one change to a couple storms after the switch. It’s only the cost of 1-1/2 qts. of oil, so it was cheap to make sure it had flushed out.
