The 2209WA is a monitor with very few flaws. While we’d love to see 1:1 scaling, and the inset screen may cause some users grief, we wouldn’t mind two of these sitting on our desk. This is the best 22-inch monitor we’ve seen.
How does the 2209wa compare to my hp or Hanns-G?
It turns out that the 2209WA’s e-IPS panel (which is the budget version of IPS) is very close in quality to my excellent Hanns-G and the HP. The colors are rich and complex right out of the box. The one aspect that I can’t match to my old monitor is the native contrast (I’ve never tried color calibration because my audience doesn’t use it).

Is it possible to run the 2209wa at 75hz?
I’m seeing in the 2209WA megathread that it’s possible to run it at 75Hz, but it takes a little technical work to do. I’d like to start this separate thread to put together clear instructions on how to do so for both nVidia and ATi users, and also to find out if all 2209WA monitors can do it, or only some.
