What is TDA7297?
What is TDA7297?
The TDA7297 is a dual bridge amplifier specially designed for TV and Portable Radio applications.
What is dual bridge amplifier?
A loudspeaker is connected between the two amplifier outputs, bridging the output terminals. This doubles the available voltage swing at the load compared with the same amplifier used without bridging. The configuration is most often used for subwoofers.
What is the output of 4440 IC?
Here IC LA 4440 is wired as a bridge amplifier to deliver a 19 W RMS on a 4 Ohm speaker. The IC has built-in thermal, over-voltage and short circuit protection. The IC also incorporates an audio muting function, but that is not used here.
Is it better to bridge an amp?
If you have a single driver and only need a single channel, then you want to bridge the amp to deliver all the power you have available to it. If you have 2 speakers though, and 2 channels, it may be better to run in stereo to have greater control over the speakers movement.

What is the use of 4440 IC?
LA4440 is a two channel audio power amplifier IC with inbuilt in dual channels enables it for stereo and bridge amplifier applications. In dual mode it gives 6 W per channel and in bridge mode 19 W output.
Does bridging an amplifier reduce sound quality?
Bridging most amplifiers will make no noticeable difference in sound quality.
Can I bridge a non bridgeable amp?
Amplifiers that do not share a common ground cannot be bridged. Some amplifiers that share a common ground but split the power supply into distinct channels of regulation cannot be bridged since they have different ground potentials.
Do you get more power from bridging an amp?
The benefit of bridging an amp is MORE OUTPUT. Bridging an amp on a speaker can often provide 4 times the output power (there are a lot of assumptions in that statement – but in a nutshell it is true). You double the output because of the second amp channel.
Can any stereo amplifier be bridged?
All stereo amplifier channel pairs on Director and Architect amps are capable of being bridged. IMPORTANT NOTE: When bridging channels, do not use a speaker rated at less than 8 ohms. When bridging amplifier channels each channel of the bridged pair “sees” one half of the speaker load.
Can any 2 channel amp be bridged?
A two channel amp can be bridged to one channel, and a four channel amp into two channels. Bridging the channels increases the power output. An amplifier is usually bridged to combine two channels to power one subwoofer, or to combine four channels into powering two subwoofers.
