The President’s Award – called Gaisce – is a self-development programme for young people in Ireland between the ages of 14 and 25. The word Gaisce means great achievement. If you win an award you get a medal in a presentation box, a certificate signed by the President and a lapel pin.

- Book into a Gaisce training workshop – which are currently taking place online.
- Once your vetting, reference checking, and training has completed Gaisce will review your application.

How long is bronze gaisce for?

Bronze participants complete 13 weeks of activities in the areas of Personal Skill, Community Involvement and Physical Recreation. They then choose one of these areas and do an additional 13 weeks of activities. An Adventure Journey of 2 days and 1 night is also part of the award.
