Are Ping G5 still good?
Even a few years after its release, the G5 is still in many golfers’ bags. The G5 is one of the best drivers Ping has created. It creates an outstanding, penetrating ball flight while optimizing distance. With the correct head and shaft combination, it is tough to find a better driver.
Is Ping G5 driver forgiving?
The Ping G5 is a good driver but you need to get used to it. The stuff about length is right, you get reduced backspin and the ball rolls a good way after landing so you do get extra length. It is fairly forgiving, but the feel is not brilliant with the Grafalloy shafts- better with graphite actually.

Are TaylorMade burners still good?
Good distance and nice look. If you are in the market for game improvers then the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 irons are worth a try as they are easy to hit and very forgiving. I found them a bit clumsy to look at behind the ball with little finesse but they were very easy to hit and let you get away with a lot.
Is the R9 driver forgiving?
There are only a couple of downfalls to this driver: 1) The 420cc sized head isn’t as forgiving as a 460cc head, even with all of the adjustability. TaylorMade has release a 460cc version with the adjustable hosel, but without the adjustable weights for the person who does need the extra forgiveness.
