- Find the top of the seat tube (this is where the seat post is held)
- Find the center of the bottom bracket (This holds the crank arms together)
- Measure the distance between these 2 points.
- Record this in both cm and inch to find the right frame for you.

How does a hardtail frame work?
The hardtail portion of the frame was replaced with a swingarm. The swingarm typically bolts to the main frame and rides on bushings or bearings. There are shock absorbers between the swingarm and the upper frame, and the rear wheel mounts to the end of the swingarm. Hit a bump, the shocks compress, the wheel travels upwards, and voila!
