The portal did not come with any instructions or batteries, but once the batteries were installed and we turned the game on in the 3DS, it synced right up to the 3DS and works perfectly. This works thank goodness.

Do you like Skylanders games?
We love skylanders games. This one is similar to the Xbox game we also have. There are levels to play but you can only have two characters at a time saved to the game so you need to portal and other characters if you want someone else. That’s ok for at home but not if we are out. We have three huge skylanders fans here so this was a must for them.
