Is Taken a good film?

First thing to say is, this is a great and fun movie from beginning to end. If you like the Bourne titles then you will love this movie. The fighting style and the way things get done is similar to Matt Damon’s character and it doesn’t get old and is interesting and great to watch throughout the whole film.

Does taken deserve a 65 or 70 on the IMDb?

I definitely think Taken deserves a 65 or even 70 instead of 50 ! The film is very touching, with Liam Neeson playing a loving father who is willing to do anything to rescue his daughter no matter how wrong and cruel those things are. That is what makes this movie unique, for it is just 30% an action movie in my opinion.

Is taken by Luc Besson worth watching?

“Taken” is somewhat similar to Roman Polanski’s late 80’s thriller “Frantic” story and setting-wise, but the speed and stunts are typically Luc Besson. Obviously this isn’t the most plausible movie ever made, but I don’t even think you’re even supposed to believe half of what you see, just sit back and enjoy the ride.
