There is usually no cost to take part in a Rock Choir performance however, you may have to pay for your own transport and refreshments where appropriate. We do offer unique and exceptional opportunities to perform at certain venues such as Disneyland Paris, Abbey Road Studios, UK Arenas and unique media opportunities.

Is Rock Choir any good?
Rock Choir is one of the highlights of my week. I joined more than six years ago and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Everyone is so friendly, the sessions are fun and uplifting, and we do so many exciting things together.

Each rehearsal lasts approximately 90 minutes, sometimes longer in the lead up to a performance. There are a minimum of 10 rehearsals each academic term as well as extra workshops and experiences on offer either locally, regionally or nationally.

The simple answer is: yes! Not all choirs of course. Some of them require singers to have had a lot of singing experience and to have reached a certain standard. You might not be ready for that yet and probably wouldn’t pass the audition if there is one.

In any choir, you will strengthen your vocal technique tremendously. Singers are required to work on their intonation, blending their tone, and matching pitch when singing together. Singing in a choir will help you build the stamina to perform and sing for a longer length of time, in a healthy way.
What happens at Rock Choir?
During each rehearsal the Rock Choir Leader teaches, re-caps and conducts each song leading from the piano. Teaching by rote is how each song is communicated with no musical scores needed by the Members.
