Steam also supports the Nvidia Encoder…. Acording to the requirements.. it uses any Hardware H264 Encoder… so it should work fine….

But yes the GTX650 does have NVENC encoding ability which is why it’s supported in Nvidia Gamestream, it’s just not enabled or implemented by the Steam client yet. Do you have a link to corroborate that?

I think you would need a GTX660 at least, 650 doesn´t have that H.264 encoder chip. In addition, that chip isn´t supported by steam yet for encoding your stream. I might be wrong, of course, but I think Intel quicksync is the only way to encode in HW at the moment (at least when using Windows, which you don´t state).
