Why are S-Works bikes so expensive?
Every part of a S-Works bike is delicate and it must be efficiently aligned with the other parts. Its frames, wheels and other parts must be in tune in order for it to be a great bike! That is why it is so expensive; any mistake in servicing it may bring down its value and usefulness.

Is S-Works better than Specialized?
The difference is in the frame. The S-Works bikes use a different carbon lay-up. The S-Works frames are lighter and stiffer. Also they come with ceramicspeed BB as standard.
What is a zertz insert?
The Zertz inserts are these weird plastic thingies that clip into the frame with a screw. One of the screws dropped out and so one of those elastomers is now being held in place by friction.

How good is the Specialized Roubaix?
The bike is a phenomenally good cruiser that does a sterling job of killing fatigue-inducing road buzz, particularly with the larger tyres I’ve fitted. With no rear suspension, I wondered if the Roubaix’s ride quality would feel unbalanced, but Specialized has built so much flex into the rear end that it doesn’t.
