Use a small amount of rubbing alcohol and either a sponge or a plastic bristle brush to clean the freshly engraved surface, removing any imperfections or leftover slag from the surface.

How do you clean engraved stainless steel?

To clean a stainless steel nameplate or stainless steel tag, simply wash that sucker with good ol’ fashioned dish soap (just make sure it’s the grease-cutting kind). Take a sponge (or a soft-bristled brush like a toothbrush) and wipe the surface in the same direction as the natural grain of the metal.
