What can the Gardiner Scholarship be used for?
The FES for Students with Unique Abilities (formerly the Gardiner Scholarship) is an ESA and can be used to pay for private school tuition, fees, textbooks, curriculum, therapies, assistive technologies and more. You can read more about the eligible expenses in the PARENT HANDBOOK here.

Awarding scholarships for floriculture and horticulture students is a primary function of AFE. We understand the financial burden students face and are doing our part to help! AFE has more than 30 scholarships that are awarded each year, ranging from $500 – $5,000.

How much is the Gardiner scholarship in Florida?

For 2021-22, the Gardiner Scholarship was merged with the Family Empowerment Scholarship, becoming the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA). This year, more than 23,000 students were awarded scholarships averaging around $10,000.
Who can get scholarships?
To receive the undergraduate scholarship, a recipient must:
- Be a citizen of India and have attended secondary school in India;
- Be offered admission to Cornell as an undergraduate student;
- Be eligible for need-based financial aid.

One of the most common grade point average requirements is a 3.0 average. (Again, every scholarship provider is different and it’s up to them to set their eligibility criteria, not us.) While some scholarships are based on a student’s GPA, most scholarship aren’t only about a student’s GPA.

Does the Garden Club of America fund Landscape Architecture?
Since 1928 when the Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture was established, The Garden Club of America has funded more than 1,400 recipients. The GCA offers 28 merit-based scholarships, fellowships and awards in 12 areas.
Should I send my application to the NGC scholarship chairman?
