Our adventure playground is one of the best in Yorkshire. Children of all ages enjoy hours of fun sliding, swinging, climbing and spinning to their heart’s content.
Can you walk around Harewood House without paying?
It is a huge estate of about 1,000 acres and luckily for us has a circular public footpath around the grounds. The estate has its own bird gardens and deer farm, but you don’t have to pay the £15 per person entry fee for this walk.
Do you have to pay to go to Harewood House grounds?
The Harewood estate doesn’t receive any public or council funding ( go to Roundhay/ Lotherton if you want to see where the Council spend your money), and has to charge entrance fee, to keep providing such lovely adventure playground and facilities.

As many of us Emmerdale fans know the village is filmed on a purpose built set on The Harewood Estate near Leeds, West Yorkshire and has done since January 1998. It is a life size replica of Esholt, West Yorkshire, the village which had been used for the village scenes in Emmerdale Farm/Emmerdale for 22 years.

Can dogs go to Harewood House?
All we ask is that your dog is kept on a short lead. We are unable to allow dogs in the House, Bird Garden, Farm Experience, the Adventure Playground, Woodland Wonderland and indoor areas of the cafe, but the rest of the 100 acre site is yours to enjoy!

This lovely traditional country pub has to be the most famous ‘working’ pub in the country, as it is the original Emmerdale Woolpack and the only ‘soap’ pub where you can actually get a drink. It has a well-stocked bar and fine cask ales, and a tasty menu with plenty of choices for all appetites and budgets.

Yes you can visit where Emmerdale is filmed by taking part in a walking tour around the Emmerdale sets on weekends at the ITV studios. On your visit to Emmerdale Village you will be able to visit the familiar outdoor set where episodes of the ITV soap are usually brought to life.
