Fortunately, the Mepla hinge isn’t in production anymore due to its design flaws. Unfortunately, that means it is hard to find a replacement. We stock a stronger replacement hinge in East Lansing and in Marshall from a different hinge manufacturer.
How do you remove a mepla hinge?
Push down on mepla locking tab and rotate hinge out of base. Remove the two small screws holding the base plate on. DO NOT try to pry off the base plate. Use a vibrating multi tool with fine wood blade, to cut the base off of he plastic dowels holding the plate in place.
