What do you think about Bangkok hotels on Agoda?

In looking at Bangkok Hotels on Agoda, the star system seemed to be whacky, would look at a 4 or 5 star listing, pictures would be great, but reviews tended to say that rooms were old and not always clean, in need of remodel. Picked Well Hotel because it was new, opened Jan 2016.

Is the Grande center point Ratchadamri the nicest hotel in Thailand?

The Grande Center Point Ratchadamri Hotel although not the nicest hotel that I have used in Thailand it is by far one of the best experiences that I have had. Thailand is famous for excellent hotel staffs, Grande Centre Point even surpasses the excellent reputation that Thailand has.

I have stayed at the Grande Centre Point (GCP) on four occasions now – total of 32 nights – and I remain convinced it is not just one of the best located (direct access to BTS, main Sukhumvit Road etc) hotels in Bangkok but the best value.

The food was always expensive by Bangkok standards, but the old restaurant/bar on the 1F used to have a quite nice variety of simple, normal Thai food at affordable prices. Unfortunately that is no longer the case.
