The new ZX6R is one of the most-comfortable Kawis I’ve ever ridden, and the ZX10R felt about the same. I didn’t get ABS on my bike, but the traction control is definitely a great addition. I’ve hit it once (cold tires) and it worked exactly as I’d expect it to. I was in TC1 and it still picked up a bit in a corner.
Is the ZX10R a better financial decision?
May be it is a better financial decision to get the ZX10R if you can control yourself and manage yourself on the bike with baby steps. Lots of new riders actually have that discipline and self control.
Should I go back to a zx6 or Zx10?
After owning the zx10 for almost a year I am considering going back to the 6. The 10r is overkill for the street (the zx6 can be, too)- but take a good honest look at your riding style and personality and if you think you can keep your cool then go for it. The bike is very easy to handle at low rpms so govern yourself until you’re comfortable.
